Parents of Robert Northcutt KY > MO

I'm looking for any information on the parents of Robert Northcutt. Robert was born in Missouri in February 1852. The 1900 Butler County, MO census lists his last name spelled Northcut. He married Mary A. (unk) ca. 1872 and had eight children, four of whom survived. Three of their children were:
Ruben b. 4/1873
George b. 9/1881
Lou b. 5/1885. Lou is Sarah Lou (Louisa) Northcutt and my great grandmother.

The 1900 census listed Robert's father as born in Kentucky, but that is all I know. I know that there were several Northcutt families in Kentucky around that time period. If anyone has any information they would be willing to share, I would greatly appreciate it.
