Rube Northcutt Is buried in the same Cemetery as my
Grandfather. He is there with his 2nd wife Nellie. The tombstone Reads Rube A b 2 Apr 1872 D 24 July 1924.
Nellie S b 19 dec 1882 d 29 june 1944. I last visited this cemetry in 1985, before i knew about Rube and Elizabeth. This cemetery named Marble Hill is in a hevaly Wooded area
about a half block wide and about a block abd a half long.
My grandfather doesn't have a stone but we did find it thanks to my aunts descripton. She was 85 yrs old at the time and needed a walker for Support. This is a funny Cemetery,as you don't need to pay for the ground. You just drive a rod in the ground & if you don't hit anything you dig there.The cemetery is located on the edge of Poplar Bluff. Elizabeth is in the 1930 census of St Genevieve Co
and is listed as 54 yrs old. There is a colume that reads
(how old were you at you first marrage) and she said 16.
This matches the marriage cert,because ger guarden had to give his permission.
