My Grandmother, on my Mother's side was Mary Cora Fournier (born the end of the 1800's). She was either born or Lived her first couple of years of her life down in Louisianna. Her background was Canadian French(Fournier), and also had Native Indian Blood, in her ancestory of which I am seeking those roots as well. She married Russell Dewey Strouse in the Early 1900's Somewhere in Northern Ohio(Lorain, Cleveland Area). She spent a great deal of her older Years in Hayward Wisconsin, up near the Canadian Border. There are Quite a few Fournier's up there in that area and a good Portion of them are Native Ojbwe Indians, of which I think is part of her roots. I don't know if this will help you or not.
