Jesse James vs. Jesse Jackson O'Barr

I've been doing some research on the web and come accross something that is really stumping me. In a few places, including the old family bible, my great-great-grandfather is listed as Jesse James O'barr (b.1845, d.1885) who is married to Sarah Bettis. But in other places I've found a Jesse Jackson O'Barr who is married to Sarah Bettis. Does anyone have any advice?
