Sarah - Benjamin Madison O'Callaghan and Ione Gammel were my grandparents - my mother was their daughter - Emma Clyde O'Callaghan.
I was born and reared in the Fairfield Community, Blue Springs, Mississippi, and still have the farm where I lived and also the cousins who are actually O'Callaghans also still live there. I have quite a bit of the information but would love to exchange with you.
I received a call just yesterday (August 4, 2007) from a young lady who is a Gammel and I will be sending her permission to have the graves of Ione Gammel O'Callaghan's parents, William Henry Gammel and Nora Clyde Fitzgerald, repaired. They are buried at the Wallerville Cemetery near New Albany, the county seat of Union County, Mississippi.I have not been to the cemetery but they will be sending me a picture.
My address is 5115 Meadow Pointe Drive, Southaven, MS 38672 and I would be happy to reimburse you for any expense you have sending me any info you would like to share. Send me your address and I will mail you a copy of the info I have. If I were smart, I would be able to send you a GED file on eMail - but - I'm not smart enough to do it, the computer is still a wonder to me.
