Descendants of Eliz Ogden 1733-1821, John of Rye line

For what it's worth, our Smith family in Ohio are descendants of John Smith(Smyth)who died in Tioga Cty NY in 1818 and Elizabeth Ogden 1733-1821, daughter of David Ogden and Millison Lane of NJ; this David Ogden comes from the line of "John of Rye."

David Smith, a son of John and Elizabeth, moved with his son Nelson Smith (1798-c. 1860)to Perry Twp, Franklin County, OH where they engaged in farming. I believe David died c. 1814.

I have more detail for those who are interested. We are very interested in any info on the Revolutionary War activities of David Ogden and John Smyth. There are some notes in Tioga Cty NY history but we cannot verify these with lists of Rev War officers in NJ.
