John Ogden (Pilgrim Father) and the South Lancashire Ogdens

I have spent some time wondering whether or not there is a connection between the Ogdens of South Lancashire, where the surname allegedley originated, and the Ogdens from Hampshire.

Has anyone ever discovered a link?

Just one of those thoughts from a South Lancs Ogden.
