Hi Denise, BINGO!!! Both those findings for Gessert's and Pagel's is correct! Thank you so much for sending that info ~ it was perfect. I did not have that information. I use Ancestry.com for most findings, but some of the earlier census you must know where people live, because you have to go thru the census and not just try to find a name. So this is great. Is the info you find on the internet ~ do you pay to use a particular site? Please let me know. You asked in another email where they were born and where they died. I was unsure of where they were born ~ I thought perhaps Germany, but then I also thought Wisconsin on some of them. Henry and Wilhelmine Gessert died around Detroit, possibly Ferndale. Wilhelmine was only known to me as "Minnie", so I'm glad that I have her first name now. She died in 1932 and Henry died in 1913. Regarding Charles & Mary Pagel ~ I did not have a lot of info on them. I have four daughters on them - the ones you sent me plus a Louise. Of course, Louise is not on the 1880 census, so maybe she had died before then?? Please keep in touch. I'm sure I've spoke with you before - are you related to me? Happy Holidays!
