Hi Sandra -
I do have a Bertha Pagel, but she's born abt 1866 ~ supposedly in Michigan. According to census, Bertha's parents Charles Pagel & Dorothea "Mary" Boebritz OR Boertz were born in Prussia.
My Bertha had three sisters:
Amelia "Emma" b abt 1862
Mary Sophia b abt 1864 (my great grandmother)
Louise - no info on her
