Have been spending some time going over my early/old research of so long ago, trying to find answers not found before. I am going over my data on Lydia, the first wife of Francis Peabody, who is so often overlooked in family histories found on Francis and his second wife, Mary (Foster) Wood... I have had, on my database, information from somewhere (undocumented and now not found) that Lydia died in Topsfield on 03 March 1648. But now that I can re-check VRs of MA on internet, I do not see anything at all for her death in any of the places where Francis lived since his arrival here in 1635. Certainly she does not appear in Topsfield.... does anyone have any new data on Lydia - who she was, when they were married, where she died? And as for the 2nd marriage of Francis to Mary (who comes from "my" Foster family) i have seen two different dates for their marriage - but I have not been able to find this marriage on the MA VRs, either. Has anyone had any luck on this???? I have also been re-checking my first information ever found on Peabody, by Cutter ,and find so many errors/mis-information that shows up in postings done by people today. Unfortunately, this information has been carried over by later "researchers" who seem not to have done any research at all, but just copied what they found... Cutter was good, but he did mess up....
