Hi Candy,

William Peachey married Phoebe Slaughter, daughter of William Slaughter and Phoebe Smith. Phoebe Smith was the daughter of Toby Smith and sister of Henry Smith. She married first, William Hodgskin, who died in 1673. She died in Essex County, Virginia, in 1710 leaving a will naming only one grandchild, Samuel Peachey, and her daughter Phoebe, who had by then married Rev Lewis Latane. Lewis' will was proved in Essex April 17, 1733.

I haven't found, yet, who the father of Susannah Peachey was, but an abstract of her aunt's Will follows:

"MARY PEACHEY of parish of St Stephens in King and Queen County in the colony of Virginia. Will 6 August 1713; proved 18 January 1716-17. To my Neice Mary Peachey Walker, Daughter of Thomas Walker and Susannah his wife, my Negroe named Viall to she and her Heires for ever. Likewise my five Lottery Tichkets as I took out of the Exchequer numbered 92567, 92568, 92569, 92570, 92,573. Also to said Neece Mary Peachy Walker L200 sterling when she comes att age or marriage. 2d, To my Nephew John Walker, son of Mr Thomas Walker my Negroe man called Consul and L100 out of my Mortgage of Mrs Mary Days, Haberdasher of Gracious Street, London. Rest to Nephew in Law Mr Thomas Walker and Neece Susannah his wife, executors. Witnesses: John Walker, R C Walker, Joseph Hayle. Proved by Thomas Walker, reserving to Susannah Walker. Whitfield, 15."

Mary Peachey was no doubt Susannah's aunt and great-aunt of her children, Mary Peachey Walker and John. Their son, Thomas, was not yet born when the Will was drawn up. Susannah married secondly, Rev. John Skaife of Williamsburg, as can be seen by the their obituary below:

"The Reverend John Skaife (c. 1682-1736) married secondly, Mrs. Susanna Walker, widow and executrix of Thomas Walker, and in Williamsburg the 'Virginia Gazette', of November 5, 1736, thus announced their deaths:
'On Monday Morning last, dy'd at Mr Geo. Gilmer's, in this City, Mrs. Susanna Skaife, Wife of the Rev. Mr. John Skaife, Rector of Stratton Major Parish, in King & Queen County; and was decently interr'd on Wednesday.
And on Thursday Morning also dy'd, the Rev. Mr. John Skaife, her Husband, after a tedious Indisposition. He was a Gentleman of an affable and courteous Behaviour, and was well belov'd by his Parishioners, among whom he had exercised his Sacred Function near 30 Years, with general Approbation. He was educated at St. John's College in Cambridge, and was one of the Governours of William and Mary College, in this Colony.'"

Thomas and Susannah had a daughter named Mary Peachey Walker, but she married George Gilmer, unless she married Zachary Lewis, Jr., later. Zachary Lewis, Jr married a Mary Walker, but I'm not sure who her father was???? Their daughter, Susannah Lewis married your Joseph Collins.
