Thank you Rick. He looks like a good candidate. I recall that a few years ago, I ran across another reference to a Pease who was with the Indian Bureau during the 1800s, but there was no first name or initials to go on. Given the time period of his claim, he may have been involved during the period the Creek and Seminole Indians (among others) were removed from the southeast to the Indian Territory. If I learn anything more, I will post it to the forum.
