Thanks for your reply Jill. I was hoping you would see this, as I figured that there was a relationship based on your earlier postings.
There are so many HEALDS in the areas we are talking about in New York and PA. I have been hoping in desperation to find a sideline that may have data, and this Alanson PEASE seemed to be in similar areas. I've searched every Illinois site I have to find more info. My HEALD family stopped in Michigan (Branch Co.)for awhile and then were in Will Co., Kendall Co., and finally Livingston Co., in IL. A few of the siblings of my HEALD also were in Wisconsin when my guy came to Illinois.
Are all of these PEASEs in Illinois related to each other? I've seen quite a few in the census.
Also...if you run across the surname HOLDEN in relationship to these people, let me know. We have had recent information that suggests that the our HEALD name may have actually been HOLDEN at some point.
