Can I ask you where in Illinois your Healds ended up? I just found that Plinny (Plyna) brother of Alanson lived in Sherwood Branch Mich in 1860 with a Reese Gwin. Most of the Peases, I know, ended up in either McHenry County Illinois or Booone County, Illinois. How long were your Healds in Michigan? I do the same thing you do with trying to find relatives thru neighbors etc. Usually they all kept together. I am going to send for the death certificate of Mariah or Maria Pease, wife of Alanson and see what her maiden name was. I have to get a new printer so this might take a while.
