Hi Everyone…I posted this info a few yeras ago and thought I'd put it back at the top of the list again. I’m trying to find some more information on my g.g.grandmother Nancy H. Pease. She died in Dracut, MA in 1896 and from her death certificate, I learned:

Born: April 1836, New Portland, ME (This is in Somerset Co., ME)

From there

Elijah Pease, ae 42, laborer, b. ME (Joseph’s brother?)

1850 Census Concord, DeKalb Co. IN
Nancy Pease, ae.15, b. ME, living with Rueben and Minerva Dawson. Dawson is a lawyer. (Was Nancy a servant working for Dawson, while her family continued west?)

Marriage Records for Scott Co. IL (Scott Co adjacent to and east of Pike Co.)
Nancy H. Pease married John L. Mossman 20 Mar 1852.

1860 Census Nevada Co. CA
Elijah Pease, Jr. ae 27, miner, b.ME (Nancy's brother?)

also nearby Elijah Pease, ae. 51, miner, b. CT? (Joseph's brother?)

Nancy H. Mossman filed for divorce in Nevada Co., CA from John L. Mossman on 23 April 1862, which was granted on 19 Nov 1862. John Mossman had left her in Aug 1858.

Nancy (of French Corral, CA) married George C. Kelly on 8 July 1863 (Morning Transcript 10 July 1863, p.2)

From there George brought Nancy and her children back to his home town of Dracut MA.

Thanks Chris Mossman
