For several years I have been searching for my GG Grandfath Levi PEASE who is a real brick wall, I also believe his nhis first name was not levi but John./ He may have been born in NJ in Feb. 1823. In 1854 he was in pike county, IL where he married Hester. They had 7 children. Levi died in 1870. I was looking in the Database of IL civil war veterans who served in MO units and I found

Residence...Hadley. IL
Hadley is a township in pike county in IL and also where levi had his farm/ I need some advice on where to go from here . Does anyone know of a John F. PEASE?
