Susan: This may be a stretch....but I have a family of Pecks which ended in a dead end for me. The father is Seth S. Peck, b. VT but migrated from Ohio, Minnisota, Iowa (lived there on and off), NY, etc. almost as if running??? Seth had a son Sylvester which was born abt. 1852, not sure if NY or Iowa, they had two residences at that time?? Let me know if this helps at all.
