I may have a possible answer. I have a John Peck in my tree b. 1773 with 5 children and an unknown wife. The childrens names are John D., Walter, Juldah, Anna and Catherine. He is a child of Joseph and Elizabeth Reed out of MA and died in Brainbridge, NY. They did move around alot, NY, Ohio, Iowa, Minisota, Michigan, Illinois, etc. From what I can gather most of Joseph and Elizabeth's children were born in VT, but as you know, the census records were not always fact. Their children settled all over. Joseph is not in my direct line so I did not research him or his children too far. Let me know if you would like any more info on this John.
