Seeking descendant of:
George Bentley PECKHAM, born 18 July 1849 in Coldwater, Michigan, married Ellen CLARK in Jo Daviess County, IL on 13 September 1871. The couple migrated to Sedgwick County, Kansas. George was a partner with L. N. Whitcomb in the Third Street Planing-Mill. Proven issue of George and Ellen are: William D., Charles H. and Edith. I don't have birthdates. Ellen died 4 March 1888, Wichita, Kansas. I don't think that George remarried. PECKHAM is not my line, but Ellen is my great-grandaunt so my interest is mainly with her (CLARK). Especially interested in any extant photo of Ellen.
I have the PECKHAM info which appeared in the 1888 publication: "Portrait And Biographical Album of Sedgwick County, Kansas" which gives quite a bit of info on George, his father Horace H., his great-grandfather Caleb (b. Rhode Island, 22 July 1789) and 2nd great-grandfather Stephen PECKHAM (Rhode Island).
