Marty my great grandfather was Robert Norman (wed Elizabeth Garrett) the brother of Mary Ann (Norman) Peckham. According to Church of England records that I personally saw in Newfoundland about 6 yrs ago they were all baptized as Normans. In our family we all believe that the Normore was an error in documentation elsewhere as the Irish acent must have been strong then.
Anyway, Robert's father William married Mary Sransbury, & later Wm married Lavinia Booth in 1872 St. John's. I have him as dying in 1875can't seem to get back further than that
Love to hear any support to the Normore name as we all think we are Norman would love to know your thoughts.
