My great-great Grandmother was Sarah E. Peckham. She was born in either CT or RI around 1891. She was married to William Henry Durfee, and had two children Thurman I. and George E. Durfee. Around the time Thurman was 5, Sarah and William divorced. Sarah took George, who at the time was 3 years old and moved to Providence. My great Aunt told me that she lived with a family by the name of Crandall for a time, and worked as a housekeep in a catholic rectory around 1920. This is all the information I have on her. My Great Grandfather, Thurman, never saw Sarah or George again after the divorce. If anyone has any information on either, I would greatly appreciate it!
