You say your grandfather's still alive? He's your best resource right now, so ask him before it's too late! He can almost certainly give you his parents, his grandparents, his uncles and aunts and cousins, and maybe more. Ask where his family members are buried (cemetery names and towns), where and when family members were married, get maiden names of in-laws, get whatever he will tell you. Ask him to tell you everything he knows about his wife's family, too.
