Hi, I have a g+ Aunt, Ellen McClain who married a James Thomas Pender (b:1865 IA d:1901 IA or 1910 IA) in Madison Co IA in 1897.
James Pender's parents were a Jeremiah C. Pender b:5 Mar 1825 Lawrence Co, IN and Jane Crawford b:14 Apr 1824 Lawrence Co IN.
I know your Penders were from IN, so I am wondering if Jeremiah could be a brother to your Wm Harvey Pender or even a cousin???
Ellen McClain is sister to my gg grandmother-Elvina McClain Booth. Ellen was married at least 3 times and researching her has been difficult due to all of her surnames. I just found out about James T. Pender's parents (from Cemetery records). I know that in 1900 James T. Pender was in prison in IA and someday I hope to find out why (trying to figure out my g+ Aunt's life). Cemetery records for him differ, one says he d:1901 and another d:1910.
