Searching for any information for James H. Penn b. abt 1818 VA and married Permalia Frances Garretson early 1840's we think Warren Co., TN. She was daughter of William Morrow Garretson b.MD and Nancy Ross. James and Permelia are in Warren Co., TN for the 1850, 1860 and 1870 censuses. One daughter stayed in TN and married Andrew Jackson Bonner, son of W. Miles Bonner and Lucy King Bonner. James H. Penn died between the 1870 and 1880 censuses and Permalia shows up in Ellis Co., TX for the 1880 census. Her older son James Ambrose Penn was in Ellis Co., TX for the 1870 census and married Prudence Catherine VanCleave in 1871 Ellis Co., TX
