I too am curious as to why you say that Owen is the son of Edward. I have Owen's death certificate, and it has Higgison as his father. Higgison lived in Laitenville, Montgomery, MD late 1700's and early 1800's. Somewhere amonth marriages, a Penn married a Pitt from England. This information I got from George Eaton Penn of Shadyside, grandson of Owen Penn. On a grave marker in Antioch Cemetery, is the inscription: Sons of Owen Penn, Unionists from 1861 - 1865, T. Company 2nd WV Calvary. Owen, with brothers John, Thomas, William, Charles, and sister Caroline, migrated (pioneered) from Maryland across "Old Virginia" into Antioch, Monroe, Ohio. William Owen (son of Owen) had 2 wives; Columbia Crum (5 children)and Anna Eaton (3 children). Would be happy to share information. Looking forward to hearing from you, Vicki Hull
