Hello Jayne,
I saw your posted message & it reminded me of entries I had made on my family tree some time ago. I live in the UK so my ancestry comes from an Aylward marrying a Penn in this country.
George Penn who married Elizabeth Brinksworth? was my 9th great grandfather.
I think all the information that you have found so far is basically correct & the fact that you are related to a signer
of the Declaration of Independance.
You said that you thought Giles Penn could have been the father of George Penn. In fact Giles was the father of Admiral Sir William Penn, whose son was the founder of Pennsylvania.
Giles was a brother of George Penn.
I have traced the family back further still & what I have found I believe to be true but may need further scrutiny.
