We ARE connected. Wm. R. Penn's father was John Penn (1804). John's brother Thomas William Penn is my ancestor.
Further, the parents of John Penn and Thomas W. Penn (1812) were Robert W. Penn and Catherine Outwater.

I have a great deal of information about all families.
Your William R. was married to Harriet Sorrell...WHO was also his distant cousin, as I believe her mother was Eliza Penn who may have been a sister to your John Penn (1804) and my Thomas Penn (1812).

My mother (age) is the 5th generation descended from Robert W. and Catherine Penn. I grew up hearing that we are "directly descended" from William Penn the Founder of Pennsylvania, but cannot make that link. All information thus far can only lead to an illegitimate son of William's (Founder) son, Wm. Jr. when he spent several years in the NJ areas.
Email me directly. ALSO, I am very interested in your middle name, Ryker as my Thomas Penn (1804) married an AManda Ryker whose father was Levi Ryker/Riker. PLEASE SHARE ALL THAT YOU HAVE. I'd love to see your photo images and the rest. My mother is in Maplewood, NJ. Where are you located?
