Elizabeth Penn (Hammond) d. of Giles Penn, England

Here is what I found on the family of Giles Penn and Joan Gilbert. I see that Elizabeth Penn (m. William Hammond) is not recorded as their daughter in the English records. I wonder why that is. Any help?

William Hammond was born in London and in that city married Elizabeth Penn, sister of the Admiral Sir William Penn, aunt to William Penn the Quaker. He probably descended from the Hammonds of the Court of St. Albans, County Kent, England. He is buried in London, England. Elizabeth Penn is buried in Boston, MA (A History and Genealogy of the Descendants of William Hammond, Roland Hammond, 1894).
Benjamin Hammond, with his mother, Elizabeth Hammond, a widow, and sisters, Elizabeth, Martha and Rachel came to America in company with Rev. John Lothrop, in the ship "Griffin," landing in Boston Sept. 18, 1634 (See Drake's "Boston.") A family record exists which was kept by Capt. Elnathan Hammond, of Newport, R.I., born March 7, 1703; d. May 24, 1793, a part of which is copied from a family record kept by his father, John Hammond, who was born at Sandwich, Mass., Nov. 30, 1663; died Rochester, Mass., April 19, 1749, son of Benjamin and Mary (Vincent) Hammond. (See N.E. History, Gen. Register, Jan., 1876.). This record shows that Benjamin was the son of William and Elizabeth (Penn) Hammond, of London, England. Elizabeth Penn, wife of William Hammond, is said to have been a daughter of Sir William Penn, and aunt to William Penn, founder of Pennsylvania, but this does not seem possible in the light of the latest discoveries in the Penn genealogy (See N.E. History, Gen. Register, July, 1900).

Parents: Captain Giles Penn (c.1576 to before 1657) and Joan Gilbert Married on November 5, 1600 in St. Mary’s Redcliffe, Bristol, England
Children: George (Bapt.10-1-1602), Giles (Bapt.10-1603), Henry (Bapt.1-26-1604), Elizabeth (c.1604), Rachel (2 24 1607), Eleanor (5 26 1610), Ann (1 21 1618) William (father of William Penn “The Quaker”) (4-23-1621 to 9-16-1670)

Giles, the second son of William Penn, Jr., was a captain in the navy, as well as consul for many years of the English trade in the Mediterranean. Giles wife was of "the Gilberts in the County of Somerset, originally from Yorkshire" according to Giles’ son Admiral Penn. The records of St. Mary Redcliffe, Bristol, show the marriage of "Giles Penne and Joan Gilbeart," on 5 Nov 1600. Giles and Joan Penn had two sons, George, who was twenty years older than his brother, William, the Admiral.
