In researching a SMITH family from Dartmouth, MASS I found a Quaker record in Easton and Saratoga MM or maybe East Hoosick MM (in Adams,Bershire, MASS) of Anna SMITH, d/o Humphrey m Benjamin PETERS in 1781. She was disowned for marrying out of union which probably means that Benjamin was not a Quaker and/or they did not have Quaker permission to marry.
Anna parents were Humphrey/Humphry SMITH b abt 1739 and Edith/Edy HOWLAND of Darthmouth. Humphrey was son of Peleg SMITH and Edith b abt 1741 was daughter of Job HOWLAND. They married in 1758 in Dartmouth. Known children of Humphrey and Edith were Major, Mary, Peleg, Abigail, Humphrey jr, Howland, Anna, Naomi, Gilbert and Slyva.
I am not related, just posting this in case someone is looking for this family.
