I'm not a Petry researcher, but if you go to my website at <http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~thehootsfamily> and then click on "An Alternate History," you'll find a couple of items on the Petri family that may be of interest. Since the Palatinate was under French control for so long, I think there are links between the French and German branches.
