I am looking for the death and burial place for Wilburn Braselton Petree. My family info said he was buried at Macland Cemetery, Powder Springs, Cobb Co., GA. A fellow researcher was unable to find him listed at that cemetery in a book about burials at Cobb County cemeteries (can't remember name of book). Wilburn Braselton Petree was born 28 Oct 1867, probably in Cherokee Co., GA and died 8 Mar 1911, possibly Cobb Co., but do not know for sure. His first five children were born in Georgia (my grandfather, Houston Cleo Petree, born 1893 in Powder Springs; Quinton Charles, born 1895; Lillie Belle, born 1896; Annie Mae, born 1898; and William Brotherton, born 1899), and his last four children were born in Alabama (Maudie Magdalene, born 1903; Robert Jerome, born 1904; John Lewis, born 1908; and Mary Ellen, born 1909). Wilburn Braselton Petree married Harriet Ivanonah Bullard, daughter of William M. Bullard, Sr. and Lucy Ellen Moon. Harriet Ivanonah Petree is shown on the 1920 Haralson Co. census (her parents settled in that county), and she eventually went to live in San Francisco, CA where several of her children moved in the 1920's. She died in San Francisco in 1953, and is buried in the Bremen City Cemetery, Haralson Co., GA. Wilburn's parents are Charles Harrison Petree and Margaret Elizabeth Braselton of Cobb Co., GA.
