SPRINGFIELD - Georgia W. Petree, 104, of Springfield died Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, at St. Joseph's Home.
She was born June 3, 1902, in Haven, Kan., the daughter of Alfred LeRoy and Berdie Dell Coover Jolley. She married Virgil W. Petree in 1925 in Topeka, Kan.; he died in 1986.
Mrs. Petree worked for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services as a stenographer, retiring in 1986. She was a member of King's Daughters, Daughters of the American Revolution and First Christian Church.
Survivors: brother, Jewel LeRoy "Bus" Jolley of Canyon City, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation rites were accorded and memorial services will be held at a later date in Kansas.
Bisch and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
