I've now traced the line for Earl Spencer Pomeroy, noted Western historian, professor, author. Born 27 Dec 1915 Capitola, CAL. Died 18 Jan 2005, probably Eugene, Oregon. I'm still looking for an obituary that may list place of death, family members, etc.
His line: Historian Earl Spencer Pomeroy Jr, Earl Spencer Pomeroy SR, Edgar, Charles Watrous (early San Jose CAL pioneer), Charles, Charles, Noah JR, Noah SR, Joseph, Eltweed Pomeroy who came to America about 1630.

Hoping to make contact with anyone connected to this Earl Spencer Pomeroy JR line, to learn more about this family.

Also looking for the immigrant connection to the Archie Clyde/Clyde Archie Pomeroy family, listed in US Census as living in Linn County, Oregon. See GenForum for Linn County, Oregon for US Census summary for 1910, 1920, 1930 on this family.

I am a volunteer working with the American Pomeroy Historic Genealogical Association (APHGA) www.americanpomeroys.org. We are working on a comprehensive update of the 1912 work, A A Pomeroy's History and Genealogy of the Pomeroy Family. THE POMEROY'S OF OREGON is a part of that update project.

Volunteers needed to assist us in this huge national update project! To learn more about how you can help, see www.americanpomeroys.org. or contact me:
