June 6, 1873, Holyoke, Mass.; m. June 23, 1896, MARGARET ZENOBIA TRAMMELL, b. Jan. 27, 1874, Dalton, Ga.; dau. of COLONEL LEANDER NEWTON TRAMMELL and wife ZENOBIA JEAN BARCLAY. (COL. LEANDER NEWTON TRAMMELL, lawyer and statesman, was Captain-Quartermaster in the Confederate army, recognized leader of the Democratic party in Georgia during reconstruction, President of the Georgia State Senate, 1870-1873; member of State Railroad Commission, 1881-1901, chairman thereof the last ten years.) WILLIAM L. POMEROY served as corporal, sergeant and second-lieutenant of Georgia State Militia from 1893 to 1897. Accountant. Res., Louisville, Ky.
