Need to know the parents of John Posey(Jr) who died on 11 July 1803 in Spartanburg, he left a nuncupative(word of mouth) will; stating his estate to be sold and equally divided between his wife and two children, except for a gray
colt to his sister in law Polly Moore. Wife and children were not named. He named Richard Posey and William Posey both of Spartanburg as executors of his estate. Witnesses to will were Richard Posey, Ann Posey and Ann Moore. His estate records clearly indicate his widow to be Nancy(Moore?)-Posey. Nancy maybe the daughter of Jason Moore, SR also of Spartanburg. Jason served in Roebuck's Regiment during the Revolution.
William Posey, one of the executors moved to Lowndes County, Alabama. He was married to Francis Trail, daughter of David Trail of Spartanburg.
Any help identifying John Posey(Jr) parents would be appreciated.
