Jonathan- I appreciate all your input.It get's me thinking and looking into places that I haven't looked for Posey's before. Right now I don't have much I can contribute. Since your information about Humphrey Posey being in Greene County, I've wanted to check that out but I've been so busy that I know it will be after the first of the year before I can do that.
I really hope we can sort out Shadrack, Macajah and Noah. I think we can conclude that they are brothers. I really think they are the grandchildren of Shadrack Dees. But who are their parents. I'm still wondering who were the orphans of Nehemiah Sr. and why did Drucilla try to settle his estate. In looking over my notes, I have found a couple of land lottery draws that I can check out. I will do that also after the first of the year.
Thanks for the information on Macajah. It would seem he almost has to be son of Nehemiah Sr. Did he not leave any estate?
About the information on John Posey in NC. I didn't have that in my file. I think I have mentioned that the research I was doing was the ancestors of my Mother in law. I did do extensive research in Maryland on the first three generations of these Poseys. When Benjamin started south I did my research from books, but since I was able to follow him to SC I didn't do alot more research on Virginia, North and South Carolina. I do think I did a through search of Nehemiah in GA. I would love to have the time and energy to research more. These Poseys are facinating people.
