Jonathan,
Has anyone found anything proving that Nehamiah married a Miss Friday? The reason I ask is that in 1983 I was involved in a family reunion in Graniteville, SC bringing together several branches of the Poseys from Edgefield and Barnwell Counties. In all the info and family stories it was suggested only that the wife of Nehemiah was a Miss Friday as one of his sons was named Friday. This was only suggested and from that point on it became carved in granite as a proven fact. If someone has found the proof I would certainly applaud the finding etc... But as far as I know no one has come up with the proof of this relationship. I do know that my family had a habit of naming children after close neighbors and friends that were otherwise not related at all.
I will try to answer your responces to my postings this weekend. Please refer to the post I sent to Elizabeth about the Barnwell Co. Poseys. Jon
If you would send your email address to me I will send you a copy of the estate sale of Nehemiah Posey d. 1843. My address is Aroostook3@aol.com
