I am hoping that this forum can be of help to me. Anna Mary POSEY & John Sharp McKIBBEN,Sr. first dau.,Margaret Anna,married William James MORRISON,in Ohio- their first child was b.in Ohio but their other 4 child.were b.in Missouri or,Kansas,where they finally settled. All my research,which is not much,on William James MORRISON is that he was b.abt 1821 in VA & d.,most likely,aft 1861 in Kansas. He owned the first sawmill in Atchison,KA & sawed the planks to lay across the Missouri River,during winter [ouch!!],for the first steam locomotive into Atchison. OOPS! I didn't mention that I would like help in trying to track or trace down this William James MORRISON!! THANKS VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE!! These ancestors are a direct line- Bain POSEY is my 4th great grandfather,so I am definitely related to alot of you on this forum.!! Again,thanks!!
