Hi Paul, I am interested in what you have for Tamson & William Quaintance & their children: George, William, James, Joseph, & John. (Birth, death & marriage dates & places.) I descend from Joseph & think that you descend from James. I have read other messages you have posted about Tamson not being a Buffington... (That is hard for me to absorb, but eventually I'll understand...) I do have a copy of the "Genealogy of the Quaintance Family in Ohio & Other States" Book compiled & edited by Al Quaintance of Colorado in 1971 if you'd like anything from that!!!! (I know that it is not completely accurate.) I'd also like to hear your thoughts on who William's ancesters are & also anything else you have about Tamson (Orson) Quaintance. It is the will of Elisabeth Freeman of West Bradford, 1748, in Chester County Wills, that the book I have quotes. It says it is recorded as: "... to sisters Mary Turner, Phebe Buffington, and Damson Quaintance." I'd also like to know you lineage in the Quaintance Family, that is something I'm always curious about!!!! In case you wonder mine goes like this: Roxanne (Van) Romine Sue (Quaintance) Van Dawson Austin Quaintance m. Edna (Lockhart) Ben Trevor "B.T." Quaintance m. Electa (Wing) Dawson Quaintance m. Catherine (Ferrall) Fisher Quaintance m Sarah (Irey) Joseph Quaintance m. Susannah (Fisher) Tamson & William Quaintance I'm wishing you much luck with your genealogy research in the year 2002 - I still consider myself a newcomer to genealogy even though I've been interested in my family history for a few years now. There is just so much for one to absorb!!!!
