Looking for info on the Richman family from the Ukraine. The closest I can tell you is that they were from Gadost Kabornya, Nimeroff, Ukraine. I don't have much info.
I have Miriam (unknow surname) married a Richman. Miriams father was a furrier and her mothers first name was Mottelle.
Miriam came to the u.s. in about 1930. Miriams daughter Ida Richman, know as Hoodle or Huddle Richman/Richmond in the Ukraine, married Schroul Smith (some variation of the smith name, they were blacksmiths). Schrouls name became Harry Kaufman when he came to the U.S. He eventually settled in Toledo, OH.
AFter he came and got a place to live he sent for Ida. She came on a boat with an infant through Ellis Island about 1906. Harrys sisters name was Anna or Encie and she married a Wiesberg and lived in Detroit.
