John A. was not book educated. When he lied his first land deed at the Palestine land office 22 Mar 1830 it was recorded by the recorder as Richman instead of Richmond. Not being much "never mind" to John A. it just stayed that way. His grandson, Andrew Jackson, went back to WV and married a 3rd cousin in a Richman/Richmond wedding.
