1787 Mtg. Deed, Pittsgrove, Salem Co, NJ : William Richman to Eleazer Mayhew - a tavern.
surnames: Arons, Champneys, Keasby, Mayhew, Rambo,

William Richman Mortgagor to Eleazer Mayhew, Mortgagee:
For a certain Lot or Tract of Land Situate in the Township of Pitts Grove, being a Tavern: Viz~: Beginning at a Post
corner of Champneys Rambos Lot Standing in the Baptist Parsonage Line, thence by s'd Chamneys Rambos Lot
South fifteen Degrees East Twenty six chains and twenty five Links to a stake corner in Aron's line, thence by said line
North Seventy five Degrees East fourteen Chains and seventy two Links to a Corner, thence still by said land North
fifteen Degrees West Eight Chains and fifty links thence, North seventy five Degrees East son Chain and fifty links to a
Stake, thence still by said Aron's land North fifteen Degrees west Eighteen chain and thirty five links to a corner of said
Parsonage Land, thence by the same south Seventy five Degrees West sixteen Chains to the corner first Named,
Containing Forty Acres of Land and Allowance of Roads to be the same more or Less.

To have and to hold & etc., etc.

Principal Sum £320 = 8 - 5 - according to the Condition of the above recited Bond in s'd Mortgage Deed.

Acknowledged the 13 Day of Aug't. 1787 before me John Mayhew. Brought to the office the 3rd day of Sep.- 1787
and Recorded the same Day. Mortgage Deed Dated August 13, 1787. by me, Anth'y Keasby, Clk.
