Robinson (name changed from Zajackowski)

I am searching for ANY information on the Robinson family who settled in the St. Paul, Minnesota from Poland 1897-1898??. At somepoint one or all changed their name to Robinson from Zajackowski.

Lucas (Lucasz or Lukash Zajackowski) and Carolina (Karolina Zajackowski) came from Poland to St. Paul area dates unknown. They had a number of children:

Emelia ((Amelia) who married Jack Wagner)(born in Poland)
Pauline (born in Poland)
Mary
Henry (my grandfather on my mother's side)
James
Estelle
Frances
Tony??

I have found no record of the name change or even an official document listing the parents and children. My grandfather (Henry S. Robinson) lied in the 1920 and 1930 US Census indicating they were Scotish vice Polish. Reason is unknown but according to my mother (Ruth Robinson) he in fact lied.

Minnesota Historical Society has no information that could tie this family together other than a Lucasz Zajackowski applied for Naturalization in 1898 AND died 1906.

Carolina died in 1929 Hennepin County.
