I have been looking for the ancestry of my grandmother ,Nancy Caroline Rose for many years .I have been unable to find her parents anywhere. She was born in August 1867. Possibly Yancey North Carolina, or Lincoln ,NC. She had a brother Henry that was born in 1870. on the 1880 census She is living with the family of Julius Garland .It says she is adopted ,yet no name change .She married my Grandfather Thomas Pinckney Dellinger ,in Mitchell county . she died in Virginia as well as her brother Henry . It seems I cannot locate her as a 3 year old on any 1870 census .
Any help would Greatly be appreciated !!!!
