George and Catherine Ross of Inverness, Nova Scotia

George M. Ross of Marshes, West Bay, Nova Scotia married Catherine? and had several sons children: John M, George A., Danie (Daniel John), Janie, Maggie,Christy. He was a miller and farmer, died in 1909 of stomach cancer at the home of his son John (married Annie J. McPhail).
Can anyone help me with George's parents or Catherine's last name. She must have died around 1880 since George A. is listed as one year old in 1881 census and his father George is listed as widower.
