I am researching the connection between the Erwin family of Barnwell and the Robinson family of Barnwell.
James Daniel Erwin was a planter in Barnwell. His father was James Erwin and his mother was Sarah Daniel.
James Daniel Erwin's paternal grandmother was a Robinson, possibly named Mary.
My G-G-G grandfather was Robert Erwin Robinson and he named a son Erwin Robinson.
Robert Erwin Robinson married Elizabeth Hair d/o Job Hair, in Barnwell.
Robert Erwin then migrated to Burnt Corn Alabama.
If anyone has any info on the earlier Erwins in Barnwell and Camden, I would greatly appreciate any information.
