I found a website that tells of the three possible "candidates" for Billy Bowlegs' real name. 1..Billy Bowlegs the Siminole Indian,whose name was really Holata Micco.2.. William Augustus Bowles, and 3..William Rogers. The Rogers they mention was a WILLIAM Rogers. Was Jesse his nickname? Just curious to know where the JESSE came from. When I have time to go back to the beach I will look around more on the pirate books they have. Of course now is not a good time to go to Myrtle Beach! We are all watching the Hurricane!
