Magnolia St. Elementary School(s) and high schools

Kate Harbes Becker daughter of Simon and Kate Becker who lived on Church street in the late 1800's wrote a book (Was it worthwhile?) stating that she had attended an elementary school on Magnolia St. Would anyone know of such a school and is it still around? Also, is there a corresponding High School around that children would have gone to, lets say around 1905? Any information would be greatly appreciated?
