Is there a place I can contact to get information on businesses that were located in Spartanburg city starting in 1879 to about 1850? I am trying to research and get all details to a Schmidt and Beckers Bakery which was located on Church st. in Spartanburg. It later became a general store, Becker Bakery then Becker bakery Inc and rumor has it a bottling company. they had a general store and were also known for confections. The business was initally started as Schmidt and Becker by Simon Becker and his cousins Leonard Schmidt. Any info or guidance/direction will be greatly appreciated.
