I'm looking for descendants of James Munro b abt 1831 in Westray, Orkney, Scotland to parents James Munro b 1801, Orkney, Scotland and Elizabeth Rendall. James was the eldest of five full siblings and three half siblings to his step mother Eliza Craigie.
AND
Isabella Cameron Drever, b. abt 1828/29 in Westray, Orkney, Scotland to parents John Drever and Helen or Nellie Scollay. Isabella had a number of younger siblings.
James and Isabella married in Orkney on 30th October 1852, and migrated to Australia in 1853, arriving in Victoria in June 1853 aboard the Sea, before settling in South Australia.
They had four children, all born in Queenstown, South Australia. James b 1855, John Alexander Drever b 1858, William Tulloch b 1861 and Jemima Whitford b 1863.
James 1831 died at Port Adelaide 24th September 1862.
Isabella remarried in 1872, to William Jones. She died a year later at Unley on 26th December 1873.
James 1855 doesn't appear to have married and died in 1890.
John Alexander Drever married Elizabeth Colyer and had six children: 1) George Alexander b. 1885 d.1890, 2) Henrietta Gibson b.1887 m. Edwin Leslie GRIFFEY, 3) Jane Colyer b.1889 m. Charles Edward Somerset O'DONNELL, 4) Walter James Drever b.1891 m.Gertrude Golda/Golder POPE, 5) Edwin Colyer b.1894 m Lillian Mabel DRAKE, and 6) Isabella Whitford b.1899 m. Alan SUTHERLAND. All children born at either Adelaide or Goodwood in Adelaide, South Australia.
William Tulloch married Betsy GRANT (nee SANDISON) and had three children: 1) James Wallace b.1897 m Gertrude Mabel LESLIE, 2) Flora Isobel Mary b.1901 and 3) Mimey Oliver Drever b.1904. All children were born at Morchard, South Australia.
Jemima Whitford married Andrew Oliver b.1868 @ Pt.Victor, South Australia. They had one son, Andrew b.1899 at St.Peters, Adelaide, South Australia.
If there's anyone out there who think they may be related, please get in touch, as I'd love to find some more Munro's.
